I'm king of scare when come to repairing home appliance, because sometimes it will cost more then buying a new appliance. 2 months ago, my Mother in Law's 4 years old Refrigerant are broken due to the cooling efficiency problem. After check by a home appliances repairer, it actually was the evaporator false. By changed the evaporator and some others services jobs, It have cost us $150! Very expensive!
My hubby who is an Air-conditioner repairer wishes fixing the problem by himself, but too bad we can't find the part on that time. 2 weeks ago, we found a hardware shop selling the same evaporator and it selling price was $40.00 only. Oh My! Why the repairers charged us so much? How I wish I can find the price of appliance parts online immediately when home appliance breakout, and then only decide should let the repairer do the jobs for us or buy the appliance parts online to save cost.
