Ex Calling After 7 Years Apart

I'm listening to Mixed FM every morning. On the way I'm driving to office. There was a HOT topic in the morning on He Say's She Say's since last Friday. A guy called the studio and ask Serena for blunt (spell?) on Valentine Day. That guy is Serena's ex-boy friend actually. And he was the one rejected this idea 7 years ago when Serena offers to him.

I'm kind of curious how come this guy will call his ex after 7 years of apart? Called to studio and let all the radio listener know some more. I think action like this is quite scary. Serena must be very shocked on the time she found was her ex who call. That's what I heard from the radio..he sound very shocked.
